"C me go Crazy" Week 3

"C me go Crazy"  Week 3

I am sorry this is a day late, but I didn't have time to get it done on Sunday and I didn't have a chance to sit down and do it yesterday.  This past week was a little bit slower, but I did capture a few of our crazy moments.

One day last week this little guy wouldn't go to bed.  He just sat up with Clint and I and watched shows and ate smarties, suckers, crackers and chips.
Getting Callie ready for school is a battle some days.  She wants to wear what she wants to wear, and this bow is one of her favorite things to wear and it's not worth a fight.
Conrad got a hold of this, this week and sprayed himself in the face with it. It burned the poor kids eyes.  I felt bad and he was screaming pretty hard.
These next three pictures all happened with in about 30 minutes of each other by my 1 year old.
Top picture: (he got into the computer desk which was left open by the 6 year old.)

This is lead from a mechanical pencil that Conrad dumped all over the ground.
Bottom Picture: (he was let into the pantry and pulled a bunch of papers out and scattered them all over the ground and then was sticking them under the door.)
Callie loves to do Make up and Hair. This was how she did my moms face this past week.  She is very creative.

The Marathon Mom

I have had a very overwhelming week with a few things that have been going on around our house and I as I got home from work tonight, I saw the house was a wreck, Clint was asleep on the couch and at first I felt a little frustrated.  As I walked up the stairs and saw that you couldn't even walk into our toy room with out stepping on a toy, I stopped and realized you know what "OH WELL."  It can be cleaned up tomorrow.  Maybe Clint had a hard night with the kids and was tired.  Maybe he was exhausted and all he wanted to do was sit down when the kids went to sleep and he fell asleep himself.  Then I got ready for bed and decided to jump one the computer for a minute before I went to bed.  Then I came across this article on a blog called The Marathon Mom.  It really made me think tonight about my own life and my kids.  It made me so happy to be THEIR mom and to be a wife of an amazing Husband.  And as far as the messy toy room, it means they were having fun in there today and using their imaginations.  And for the messy kitchen, it means we had food to eat for them and they sat down and ate together and enjoyed each others company.
I LOVE my family more than anything.  They make me want to be a better MOM and WIFE.  I want to strive to be the best I can for them and set a good example for them.

"C me go Crazy" Week 2

"C me go Crazy" Week 2

We have had an interesting week.  It's been busy and we had A LOT go on around here.
These pictures are in no particular order, and sorry for the low resolution, I am completely computer illiterate, but I will work on fixing it.

This happened a few days this week.  Even though it looks like Curran is the one who made the mess, oh no, it was Conrad.  Curran just sat there reading books, Conrad pulled all of them and walked away.

Ok,these next three pictures all go together.  They tell a story.  Callie got home from school and when she gets home she always goes straight to the kitchen to get something to eat.  I ran upstairs to go to the bathroom and I can hear Callie laughing!  She has this certain laugh when she knows there has been something done that was naughty, but she still gets a kick out of it anyway.
Anyway, as I was walking down the stairs, Callie tells me, "Conrad did it"  I just went oh man what happened.  Well as you can see on the stairs and all over the floor by the stairs was smashed goldfish...I was like you have got to be kidding me!  I finish walking down the stairs and saw they were all over the table in front of our window.
(I really wish these pictures were better, because you can't see half the mess that is there).
I just couldn't believe that the mess that was made all happened in the 2 minutes I was upstairs to go to the bathroom.
I got mad at the kids and then ran up to grab the vacuum.  Now, as I was vacuuming up that mess, Conrad walks in to where I was with his face COVERED in peanut butter.  I was like "what the crap?"  What is going on in the kitchen.  Sure enough, Callie has the peanut butter out and is eating it on crackers.
This is the mess I came in to.  Except for the fact that this wasn't the only mess.  It was on the table, on the cupboards, my counter, my sink handle, Callie's clothes, Conrad's clothes and each of their faces.  Oh man, I just think to my self, "seriously?"

This would be Curran's doing.  He likes to rearrange my furniture!  Crazy kid!
After Conrad woke up from his nap he wanted to stay upstairs.  I think that's the last time I leave him alone.  That is diaper rash cream.
This picture cracks me up.  Every morning, I have my kids change their underwear  I guess Curran forgot to take off his other ones before he put on his new ones.
This is ketchup.  I HATE ketchup.  Clint has just recently introduced ketchup to the kids and it seriously grosses me out.  So at dinner the other night, he was telling the kids to try and convince me to eat it...I wanted to beat my husband.  He was getting a good kick out of it though.
It is really hard to see in this picture, but Callie came running up to me and said; "mom look, my hair needed lotion, so I put lotion in it so it could be soft."  And then she put water in it too!  Oh Callie!
Conrad has just grown tall enough to reach the edge of the counters and cupboards.  This bag of chex mix was sitting on the edge of the cupboard and he reached up and grabbed it and the rest of the bag spilled onto the floor.
This is what Callie's room looks like most days.  In this picture she has marbles, cards, clothes, game pieces, clothes, toys, books, stickers.  You name it, it is probably on her floor.  (no I don't let her leave it that way, she has to clean it up every day before school and before bed).
Conrad is such a stink!  I call him "the bully".  Curran was just running around with the basket on his head and happen to fall.   Of course Conrad capitalized on that and went and sat on top of him and was poking his face, which results in Curran screaming.  (is it bad that I think this is funny?)
Homework with Callie has always been extremely time consuming.  Bless her heart.  She works so hard to understand it and to do well, it just takes time.  When doing her math homework, we give her cheerios to help her count out her numbers. Well on this particular day she decided to eat them before she was done, so then she wasn't able to finish.
You can't see in this picture, but Conrad has had an extremely runny nose.  So we have had Lot's of snot! It's so gross because he wipes it on everything.
I have started running again and have needed to use the treadmill, but I don't know why I try, because this is him every time I try.
Do those nails look long to you?  Ya me either, but those drive Conrad crazy.  He doesn't like having long nails, or hang nails, or any sort of loose skin.

This is how we have resulted to putting the book shelf because Conrad cannot leave the books alone.  He likes to rip up the books

Now, here is another story for you.  I ran to target this week to grab something for a birthday party Callie was going to.  These next three pictures all happened with in 10 minutes of each other.
Curran was playing in the racks and yes he knocked an entire rack of clothes off the shelf.
Next in the check out line, Curran climbed on the bottom of the cart and was just hanging there!  Seriously?
On our way out of the store, Curran was walking right in front of me.  Just before we get to the exit, I noticed he is carrying something behind his back.  He had picked up some cards and was about to walk out with them with out paying.  My good friend Lisa was with me and just happen to snap a picture of me talking to Curran about the consequences of taking things from a store without paying.
This is the reaction I get from Conrad every time I start walking towards my room, because he knows he is about to be locked out.  I don't like him coming in there because every time he does, he destroys everything in there.
I put Conrad in the tub while I was in the shower and all because I decided to take an extra 5 minutes to shave, he decided to pull our towels in the tub with him.
Last but not least.  Yes that is pee.  Conrad had mac and cheese for lunch and I stripped him down to a diaper.  When he got done with lunch I was taking him straight upstairs, so I just took his diaper off downstairs because it was covered in mac and cheese...any way, the diaper was off for 5 seconds and he peed.  This was only 1 of 2 puddles he made on the floor.

"C me go Crazy" Week 1

"C me go Crazy"
This little guy has got to be the CRAZIEST little guy I know.  Let me give you a quick sneak peek of just some of the things he does.  As well as the other silly and crazy things my kids do.

He does NOT like you to feed him, which is fine but he makes the BIGGEST mess!  This is him eating oatmeal.  If you look closely in the second picture of him, it's in his nose (gross)!  Oh and he insists on using 2 spoons for everything.  I think the hardest part of it is when I am in a hurry in the mornings trying to get Callie out the door for school in the mornings and it takes forever to clean him up.

This is his new found enjoyment!  Big No No! BIG BIG NO NO!!!!!

Now for this little enjoyment, I have had an interesting week.  For 4 days of this week if Conrad wasn't sleeping or eating he was SCREAMING!  That is not an exaggeration!  It was extremely frustrating.  But here are a few pictures of moments of him screaming.  The sad thing is he has been like this since he was born, but for some reason this week seemed to be worse than others.

This top picture is of Conrad screaming at me and trying to pull my computer off the table!  He seriously is a little punk!

My kids decided to dump a bunch of gold fish on the ground and sit and eat them off the ground like little dogs!

I decided to clean out my pantry this week and this is what I found behind some little shelves I had in there to hold my soups.  Callie likes to pretend to play school in there and this is right below where she would sit.  There were a bunch or crayons, markers, chips, a bunch of cut up pieces of paper, beads, and a lot of crumbs.
Uh ya no need for explanation on this one.

He dumped out an entire box or crayons, markers and pencils, and when I walked in there he was eating a marker!
These two are always playing in my cupboards.  Drives me crazy!  This time Conrad decided to rip all the backs of my earrings.  Callie is always getting into my lotions!  If Conrad has any opportunity to get into my room especially my bathroom he will run as fast as he can and barge through doors and try and run past anyone.  You literally have to drag him out of the room with him screaming.  This happens at least twice a day.
This was the mess Callie made at attempting to paint her own nails.  Good thing it's just kid finger nail polish and it comes off, because it got on my nightstand and the carpet and my bathroom floor.  Oh and not to mention her face!
So this was an art project Curran made for preschool, and yep you guessed it. He tried to eat the marshmallows after the glue dried.  Drives me nuts!  I made him fix it and of course a few hours later Callie came home from school and squeezed each of the marshmallows down!

Now this last story I don't have a picture of, but I figured I would try to tell it the best I can so you can understand the details of it.
I was babysitting my 3 month old Niece and 3 year old nephew all day Friday so I didn't have a chance to shower.  So that night after they went home and just before my other 9 year old niece was to come over to spend the night I decided to jump in the shower.  It was 6 o'clock and I told the kids to go play in the toy room and that I was going to be out in a minute!  Oh, I was excited to have just 10 minutes to myself.
I had just finished washing my hair and of course all 3 kids came barging in the bathroom.  And there it was, I had an audience while I was showering.  I mean seriously, all I wanted was 10 minutes, and to be able to maybe at least shave my legs.  I told them they needed to leave so I could finish showering.  Curran left immediatly but it took a little more coaxing to get Callie and Conrad out of the room.  So I told Callie to put some toothpaste on Conrad's toothbrush and lure him out of the room...Well it worked and I was able to finish my shower.

I love my kids more than anything.  But sometimes they sure test my patience!  But honestly, I think they teach me more than I teach them.

"C me go Crazy"

For 2 years now I have done something called Project Life.  I would take a picture every day for an entire year and then journal about it.  I love documenting what goes on in my life although I might not always be the best at it, I at least try.
This year I wanted to take a little bit of a different approach to my journaling.  This idea was inspired by my good friend Lisa.  She would laugh every time I would talk to her on the phone or she would be with me and my kids and tell me I need to blog about the crazy and silly things they do.  My kids can be real characters and the things they do can be frustrating at the time but I will laugh later and I really want to remember what they have done.
I know for me I sometimes feel like I am the only one with crazy kids, so maybe by sharing my crazy kids lives it will help another mom realize their kids are not the only ones being silly and crazy.  I know it always helps me knowing that I am not alone
So, what my goal for this next year is to document the silly/crazy things that go on in my home on a daily basis.  I won't be able to post every day just frankly because I don't have the time.  So, I will be posting every Monday about what went on that past week.  I am going to entitle these blog posts; "C me go Crazy" (once again the name inspired my Lisa).

Let me introduce you to each of my kids and my husband just so you can get to know them each a little bit better.

This is Callie.  She is 6 years old and in the 1st grade.  She is very energetic!  She is also very compassinate towards everyone.  She loves art and loves to be social with everyone!
She is my little sweetheart!
This is Curran.  He is 4 years old and in preschool.  He has a very fun imagination.  He is very sweet, but can be pretty emotional.  He is very passionate about his toys and loves every toy that has been made.
He is my little buddy!
This is Conrad.  He is a year and half and stays home with mommy.  I call him the little bully.  He is a mean little sucker but he is learning to be nice.  He loves to get into EVERYTHING.  He can be so sweet at times and he loves to snuggle with mommy!  His most favorite word to say is "Da Da."  He gets so excited about the littlest things and I love it.
He is my little pal!

I am the Mom.  I just try to keep up with these little stinkers.
This is the Dad.  He works and then comes home, plays with the kids a then we put them to bed.

Feel free to join me on this crazy journey of raising 3 energetic kids.

Being a MOM

I have been thinking a lot lately about what it means to be a mom.  Being a mom can be soooooo hard, but soooooo rewarding. I would give or do anything for my kids.

This is what I have decided being a mom for me is;
being up all night with a sick kid or kids
breaking up fights
wiping bums all day long
changing diapers
wiping snot noses
cleaning up spills
helping with homework
worrying about your kids on a constant basis
comforting your child when they are scared or hurt
pulling them out of the dishwasher or the oven
cleaning up toilet paper after they unraveled an entire roll
reading to your child
making sure they are warm
making sure they are fed
making sure they are clean
making sure they get enough sleep
picking up toys all day long
keeping the house sanitized to keep kids from getting sick
playing with my kids
teaching my kids manners
teaching my kids patience
teaching my kids respect
 taking kids to the dr....

I could go on and on as to what a  mom is to me, but the point of my post is that I just wanted to talk about how much I love my kids and my family.  Clint works so hard to provide for our family and I am so proud of his hard work.
My kids can be little stinkers at times and I can get really frustrated, but I have to remember they were given to ME to take care because Heavenly Father knew I could handle them and that I could help them through their challenges and achievments in life.  I want to be the best mom possible for my kids so that when they grow up I am THEIR example for good and that I can be their HERO.  I want to have  a good relationship with my kids even when they have grown up.
I think the hardest part for me being a mom is my own guilt and always wondering if I am doing enough, or doing too much.  Or if I am being the mom I am supposed to be.  All I can do is pray and ask for guidance to help me be the best mom I can be.
I want to take advantage of my kids little moments of success and their achievments.  I want to enjoy those little moments in life that they are so proud of themselves for what they have done.  I want to remember those moments as well.
I guess all I am trying to say is that I LOVE being a mom despite it's challenges and that I want to enjoy every moment of my kids life.
