For Rent

We ended up with so much help in moving.  Thanks to so many family and friends and neighbors there to help.  We had the whole truck packed up with in just over an hour.  It was pretty amazing!  Clint was able to stick around for one more day and we got things painted and more cleaned up.  Then he left Sunday morning and took Curran with him.  Which meant that I was with out my little buddy for 2 weeks.  I felt like my little side kick was missing and it was sad, but at the same time was kind of nice not having to worry about him because I was so busy.  The day clint left I felt like I was doing pretty good, but then that night I got pictures from my sister in law abi of the moving truck arriving in California and oh my gosh that hit me so hard.  That's when it hit me that my entire life was packed up in a truck and over 700 miles away from me and reality set in and it was hard to grasp.  I'm so glad she sent me those pictures because I feel like it helped me have a little closure.
That next week after the truck left, Callie, Conrad and I sat on the floor, and slept on the floor and had nothing in the house for a week...It was quite the adventure.
With renting out our house I wanted to try and make the house looking nice so that when the new tenants showed up I was hoping that if it was nice when they got there they would treat the house with more respect.  The day I moved out, I was just cleaning up my garage when my agent showed up and said I had 45 minutes before the new people were going to show up...I was like CRAP...So I hurried and finished, ran to get my kids so that they could come back and say good bye to the house.  As I was less than a mile from the house he called me and told me they already showed up to my house...I was devestated!!!  I didn't get to say one last good bye.  The thing that sucks was that  I left food in the fridge, stuff in the cupboard, and my mail, and I couldn't even stop to grab it all.  I'm over it now, but I was bitter for a bit.
I think when you go through hard times it only shows you what you are truly made of.

Packing up our House

Oh my goodness...this was one of the most emotionally draining thing I have ever done.  I packed up my ENTIRE HOUSE by myself....Cleaned and painted the entire house by myself just to get ready for this move.  By the time people came to pack up the truck  I had the entire house packed up and the majority of the stuff in the garage ready to go.  The only thing I didn't have in the garage was all the boxes and totes from the basement and the furniture.  Clint was able to come home several days earlier and it was a HUGE help.  While he was home he was able to get all the beds taken apart the holes in the walls filled and the boys room painted which was a HUGE deal and HUGE help to me.
I felt extremely blessed during this whole process with all the support and also I felt the Lords hand in this process and being able to manage my time wisely and getting everything done in a timely matter.
This was extremely hard though...I don't think there was a day that went by that I didn't struggle packing things up and watching the house become really empty.  This last picture of the coats in the box was the hardest box for me to close up and tape up because I knew that by closing up this box meant my life was going to forever change.  No more snow, no more cold winters.  That was really sad for me.  I left the box sitting open for several days before I was able to get the courage to go close it up for good.

Callie's Art Show

Callie had her very last art show.  I am so sad to see her being done with her art classes.  She LOVED them.  This little art show was one where she got to choose just a few of her art pieces and display them for others to see.  The day was cold and windy so her stuff started blowing everywhere.  In fact after I posted this picture on instagram, I had a few people ask if they could have some of her art work to hang up.  The giraffe and the poppy picture were 2 of the art pieces that others took and she was more than thrilled to give them away to others.  I hope we can find something similar to this in California.

Conrads 3rd Birthday

Conrad had a great birthday.  His Birthday fell on a Sunday so we asked him what he wanted to do on his birthday and he chose to go to the beach.  So we took him down there for a few hours.  Then for his birthday he wanted a minion cake, so i made him one and he loved it.  Then on Monday we took him to legoland and He LOVED it.  I think he had a great birthday.  I can't believe my baby is 3.  I love this little gut so much and can't wait to continue to see the fun things he comes up with to say and do.
Some of his favorite things are ninja turtles, the beach, being outside, marble works.  He loves turning any toy we have into a sword and pretend he is a ninja turtle.  He especially likes "mikey"  Michelangelo .He is learning to talk so well and has an amazing memory.
Happy Birthday Stinker Pot!!!
