Welcome Home

Our Beloved Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley Died tonight. He was able to return to our loving Father in Heaven, and oh what peace he feels now. I am sure the angels in Heaven are bowing down to him, and his most gracious wife is so delighted to see him, and how delighted he is to see his wife. What joy their must be in heaven right now. What a legacy he has left here for all of us to have. One of those blessings he has left for us that has stuck out in my mind i the amount of Temples he was apart of bringing here upon this earth.
As I sat down and had prayers with Callie tonight, I thought that afterwords I would explain to her about the prophet. We have talked to her a little bit about him before, and in fact tonight her Papa Joe was showing her a picture of the prophet. So I asked her if she remembered who the prophet was and if she remember seeing his picture tonight, and I could tell that she was remembering a little bit about who he was. I then proceeded to explain to her that he had returned to his Father in Heaven, and I asked her if she was happy that he was there now and she got all excited and said YEA!! You know I thought about that after, and it is true, we should be so excited that he has gone to be with his beautiful wife and our Father in Heaven. He surely will be missed, but will never be forgotten.

Another for the Record Books

Callie decided to take a nose dive off the porch yesterday, and if you look close enough, you can see he has a small one on her forward too. Poor thing!

Band-Aid Trauma

So...Today, Callie fell and scraped her knee, no big deal, so I though, oh it would be fun to go out and buy her some really cute, fun Band-Aids. I proceeded to go to Wal-Mart and I found her some Barbie ones. I was so excited, I knew she was just going to love them. What little kid does not like Band-Aids.
After her bath tonight I asked her if she wanted to put a Band-Aid on her Owie! She told me she did, she was really excited when I pulled it out and everything...Then the drama started, I went to go put it on her knee and she started to flip out. She started to Cry and was almost having a panic attack. she was literally shacking, this is not like Callie at all. I continued to consol her, and told her it was okay, and I showed her that it's okay and I put it on my hand to show her it was safe, I tryed to put it on again, no she started to freak out again. I finally got it on her, and she was just crying trying to pull it off saying "off, off". It was so sad!
It was the strangest thing, what little kid does not like Band-Aids? Has anyone ever had a child do this?
