Happy Halloween!

Callie was a Chicken for Haloween (thanks Jill for the costume). I took her Trick Or Treating to a few houses. She caught on real quick as what to do. She would wait for the door to open push her way in find the candy say "more" and dig in and take hand fulls. I was actually funny! Then we went out to Murrieta to have dinner with Daddy. She was so excited to go see him. I took her dressed in her costume. We walked in and saw Clint behind the counter and started calling out "Daddy, Daddy" and waving frantically. She was so exctied to be seeing Daddy at work.

Last night we went to the ward party and Callie got to do the fish pond, the Pumpkin Derby, and Cake walk and pin the wart on the witch. She had a lot of fun.

An Emergency Room Visit

Well, I was right the stupid dumb A doctor at the Urgent Care was wrong. A mother's insticts are always right. Well, Callie was getting worse and she was working way TOO hard to breath and I was getting really concerned, so I decided to call her Dr. today and explained to him her symptoms. He said oh yea she has croop which she needs a steroid treatment. Then I went on to explain to him about her labored breathing and he said, oh she needs a breathing treatment and some steroids for her croop. I told him that the Dr. at the Urgent care perscribed her Amoxicillian and he just laughed and said that was a waste. Well we took her to the emergency room tonight for breathing treatments and steroids for her croop. After four different treatments of steroids through a nebulizer she is breathing somewhat back to normal. They said that if she would have retracted back to her labored breathing they would have had to keep her over night, thank goodness we didn't have to do that. I was so worried for her and I am so glad that she is doing much better.

Long Days and even Longer Nights

Callie woke up Thursday morning with a green goopy runny nose and a fever, she fevered all day and the runny nose turned to clear, so I thought oh she might just be teething. Friday she had the fever again and the runny nose. She slept 80% of the day. Well she fell asleep around five o clock last night and when she woke up around eight she sounded like a seal barking. Well I figure she has croop (sp). Well I was up all night friday night because she would only sleep for about an hour at a time and wake up because she had to cough, if anyone has ever had the croop it kills your chest and throat to cough. Then she would get scared because it hurt, and then she couldn't breath so she would start to gasp for air. It was like she was having a panic attack. Well this has gone on all day today, I feel so bad for her, she hurts so bad and is having a really hard time breathing. I took her to the urgent care place this afternoon and they said she has bronchitis, and larenitis. That means her bronchials and larenynx have an infection. What really concerns me is that she is still trying to catch her breath and can't. I wonder if she has more of a problem than what the Dr. diagnosed, or am I just being over paranoid? Has anyone else ever had this problem, if you have any advice that would be great.

The Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumkin patch yesterday and it wasn't as fun as I was hoping. Callie couldn't ride any of the rides because she was too small, and she was terrified fo the animals. She did like the rides that cost fifty cents to go on. Oh well maybe next year.

My Mom and Callie eating breakfast together, they loved eating together. Callie loves to feed herself her own cereal.

This was funny. Callie wakes up every morning and asks to go outside, and Sunday morning we woke up to two inches of snow, so I took her out and she tried to walk in it and fell. She was not very happy. But she got over it real quick and was ready to go back out ten minutes later

The snow on the mountains. I'm not used to seeing this in California. It is still beautiful. I love the snow and I love the beach, but I can't have both at the same time.
Back home we could go out at 8:30 in the morning and play in the sprinklers, in Utah we have to put coats and shoes on to stay warm.

Playing the "nano"

Making "WOW'S" The second day that I was there, I made some cookies and had Callie help me, or watch me. Well I picked her up to look at the mixer going round and round and I said WOW. Well little did I know that Callie thought that is what this process was called. So two or three days later we were sitting in the kitchen and she kept saying Wow mommy wow, and then was getting frustrated because I wasn't understanding her, so I had her show me what she wanted. She walked me over to the mixer, pointed at it and said Wow mommy Wow, so I asked her if she wanted to make wow's and she got so excited. So needless to say we made cookies twice in one week.

We had a great time in Utah. We did so many things and visited with so many people. It was soooo much fun! We also went house shopping while we were there, and be found a house that we really liked and put an offer on it. So keep your fingers crossed! We hope that we get it. It is in American Fork right by my Brother Jourdan's house. It is also right across the street from a park so that will be a lot of fun.

I'm off to Utah

Well I am off to Utah for a week and a half. I am so excited to see my family and friends that are there. I also get to play softball with my brothers on Tuesday which I am sooo excited about. If we win on Tuesday we get to play wednesday too. I also am going to look for a place to live while I am up there for when Clint, Callie and I return. I will take a ton of pictures. So I won't be posting for at least a week and a half. Wish me luck on the plane ride, it will be interesting to see how an eighteen month old does on a two hour flight when it is supposed to be during her nap time.

St. George Marathon

Jay, Joe, Clint and J.C.
Here are just a few more of the Marathon that I got from my sister-in-law Abi.
Clint ran the St. George Marathon this past weekend, and he did great. We are so proud of him and his wonderful accomplishment. He loved his medal, and was so glad to be done. Here it is two days later and he is still walking very gingerly. He says he will never do it again, but is glad he did it just so he can say that he ran 26 miles in a marathon. Clint we love you and are VERY proud of you.

Clint finished in 4:57. This is him a quarter mile from the finish. This is where I met him and he took Callie from me and he walked her just before the finish line and then we met him at the finish.

JC finished in about 4:40. This is a quarter mile from the finish

Jay a quarter mile from the finish

Joe finished in 3:40. This was a mile from the finish.

Waiting for Daddy on Grandpa's shoulders.
