My Boys

I seriously LOVE that my boys love to play ball!  I also love that I have a righty and a lefty.  Curran is right and Conrad is Left.  Conrad at this age does EVERYTHING left handed.  It's really cute to watch him.  Both of them have a natural love and ability to play.

Callie's Art Show

I had Callie in an art class for the month of May and she LOVED it.  They had an art show are the end of the classes and it was fun to go see her stuff on display.  She LOVES art.  She loves being able to express herself and be creative.  She does a really good job with A LOT Of direction.  Thank you Miss. Debbie for your patience!

Treasure Boxes

Callie has these baskets in her room that I let her just kind of do what she wants to do with them and just keep her stuff organized in.  Well...I went to put something in there the other day and about died when I opened them up.  That is when I decided i better clean them out, but I knew I was going to have to do it while she was in school.  Now, I am going to go through and show you what I found in her boxes.

These crayons were scattered between the 4 boxes.  This wasn't all of them either.  I threw away the broken ones.

These are all cards,  All of Currans cards that go to a game he has.
These are the bags of trash that I pulled out of there.  Oh man, heaven help me
A pair of pants and a shirt
 Socks
 All of these reading books
 These are all coloring books
A Broken doll.  Don't ask! Lol

This is tissue.  I was laughing so hard when I pulled this out of 4 different boxes because it reminded me of a hamster.
 A phone book
 5 instruction manuals
and, these are those money mailers you get in the mail.  These are her favorite things in the world.  I try to hide them from her before she sees them, but if she gets a hold of them she has so much fun with them, but she makes a huge mess with them.

When she got home from school and saw how clean they were she got really excited.  She is so funny because she didn't even really notice how much I had gotten rid of.

Field Trip to the ZOO

I went with Callie's class to the zoo and we had a lot of fun!  We were the Elephant Group and had to wear these AWESOME hats.  Ok, so I about died when I found out we had to wear it!  It was fun to watch Callie interact with he other class mates and spend time with her friends.  Lisa and I had 7 girls in our group and as much as I hated the hat it sure made it easier to find the girls if one of them wondered off.  I hope I will get to go again in the future!

Girls Night

I went on a girls night a few weeks ago and it seriously was the funnest night ever.  We started out going to Melty Way for dinner.  We then went up to Sephora and had fun playing around with make up.  We tried a lip plumper that was soooo funny, because it tingled on your lips forever.  Lisa did a make over on me, and then we all put on some really hot red lipstick.  We then went and got some frozen yogurt, and had some GOOD laughs.  From there we went to wal-mart until after mid night trying to find some shirts for an upcoming race we are going to run!  I love having nights with girls where all we do is laugh and because we laugh so hard, we pee!

Last Day of 1st Grade

Today was Callie's last day of school...and Holy Cow, I can't believe that 1st grade is over.  It really went extremely fast.  She LOVED school!  She made some really good friends this year and at one point she said she had a boy friend by the name of Cooper.  She said that Cooper told her that they were boy friend and girl friend  because they hug all the time!  I think that's so cute!  We are going to have to do a lot of studying and reading this summer.  Callie is only on a level 6 reading level.  She is supposed to be on a level 16 and an 18 by the end of the summer.  I feel so bad that she is that far behind.  We have WORKED sooo hard to get her to where she needs to be or even just make more progress.  I have learned a lot about how she learns and I am hoping I can apply it to her summer reading.  It is really frustrating as a mom to see her struggle.  But Callie is truly blessed and has no idea she struggles.  I know I talked a little bit about that back here although She has made a few comments about when kids have said things to her, but she doesn't let it bother her.  I want her to embrace it and know that SHE is doing the BEST she can and she will be fine.  Now to move on to 2nd grade!  I can't believe she is growing up so fast.

Callie wanted to throw a party on the last day of school.  So I had her invite a few friends and neighbors over.  And we had a water balloon fight, sprinklers on the tramp, hot dogs, otter pops, and chips and drinks.  Bring on summer!  We are super fun for the adventures we are about to embark on!

Callie's 7th Birthday

So Callie turned 7 on the 29th of March.  I am soooo late on posting this.  But she had a GREAT day.  It started out with me going in to her class helping out with the egg hunt for her class. Then right after school she had a party with friends.  She was SOOOO Excited to have a party.  This is the first party I have let her have with just friends.  We played games, had a super fun dance party and ate cake and ice cream.  So I asked Callie what type of party she wanted to have and what kind of cake she wanted and she decided she wanted it to be a Tinker Bell party and to have a Tinker Bell Cake.  So we got online and she picked out a cake and I figured out how to make it.  Now lets move down a few pictures and tell you about my adventures of this darn cake.

Soooooo....to start off, I forgot to spray the stupid cake pans!  Ya I know, stupid, but Yes I forgot.  Well, I thought of, that's an easy fix, we will make cake pops.  I showed her a few ideas and she picked out which one she wanted me to make.  I went and bought all the stuff to make the cake pops and thought alright, we are set.  Ya, Welllllll, I guess I should have read up on how much frosting to put in the cake mix.  I put in WAY too much frosting.

And this is the mixture I got...and when I tried rolling it up and putting it on a pan it looked like...
this... a pile of Dog Poop...I seriously was Laughing. so. hard.  I was at a loss...But I thought...you know what, lets just try it.  I melted the chocolate and I was so excited, because I was determined to make this work...ummmm....ya, the second I brought the chocolate off the heat it hardened up and I couldn't use it.
This is what happened when I stuck the cake pop that had too much frosting in it, in the frosting!  It got stuck and and sucker stick pulled right out of the cake pop!  By this point I was in tears laughing...at the same time panicking because I had no cake for the kids.  Needless to say.  The party was starting at 4:30, I left for the store at 4 to go get a cake.  I walked back in my door at 4:27 with the the now store bought cake for her Birthday.

My dear sweet Callie, not once complained and was so happy with whatever she got.  She always finds the positive in everything.  I am sooo glad she had an amazing Birthday.
Oh and right after that she went to my parents house for the Easter Sleepover with Cousins.
