We had a very busy December! Our Elf Katie showed up and the kids found her in some pretty funny places every single day. Just to mention a few; the toilet, the tree, unrolling the toilet paper, hanging with baby Jesus, in the fridge, and many more places.
The kids got to build a gingerbread house which was so fun for them.
We got our very first big "fake" Christmas tree. There is a funny story behind that. I have always held out on getting a fake tree in hopes that we would get a real tree every year. But I finally came to my senses when I realized we go to California every year and it would be a waste of money to get a real one. So one day I happened to mention it to my mom that I was on the look out for a fake tree she said her home teacher was wanting to get rid of his tree. I was sooo excited, so I headed over later that night and went and picked up the Christmas Tree.
We had Clint's work Christmas party which was a lot of fun to get dressed up and go on a date. The greatest part of the night was when Clint was awarded Salesperson of the Year. The most amazing part of this was that he has only been in this position for 7 months. I am SO incredibly proud of him. He works so hard for our family.
Our Nephew Mitch left on his Misson to Washington State. We are so proud of him. I am so grateful to him for setting this wonderful example to my kids.
And last but not least we moved the boys into the same room. At first we tried putting Conrad on a mattress on the floor, but giving him too much freedom was not good and we had to set his crib back up and put him back in his crib. He is still in the same room with Curran and they are still doing great. So now we have a spare room and it's been kind of nice.
There were so many more things we did this Christmas Season that were meaningful. I wish I would have gotten a picture of the 12 Days of Christmas we did for a family in our Ward, but I didn't. But I put together a Nativity Set for this family. So they were to open up a piece of the Nativity every night up until Christmas and I put a saying with each piece of the nativity. I can only hope and pray that they appreciated it.
I miss the Holiday's! There is something magical during the Christmas Season that I miss when it's over. I look forward to it every year.
