So last Sunday Conrad woke up from a nap with a fever at 102. He had no other symptoms and with Tylenol the fever would break and he was acting fine. He had the fever again Monday, no symptoms! That night I went to get him ready for bed and noticed he was developing a rash on his chest and stomach. I thought ok he has roseola. But then I remember with roseola the rash doesn't show up until the fever is gone and he still had a fever.
I put him to bed that night and he did not sleep at all, I could tell he was hurting somewhere, he was crying half the night! It was pretty sad!
The next morning he was still fevering and the rash was worse on his arms now, so I thought, maybe he has strep and that's a strep rash, so I went and pulled his bink out to try and look in his mouth and I noticed he had canker sores ALL over his tounge! Oh my gosh, I felt terrible! I looked at his hands and he had sores starting to develop. The rash had now spread down his legs.
I made him a doctors apt. And by the time we had got there his entire body was covered in the rash and spots all over his hands and feet! He constantly had a fountain of drool coming out of his mouth because he couldn't swallow anything because his mouth hurt so bad.
He didn't sleep for 3 days! Eat anything, I had to force him to drink but at least he did do that! I felt bad for the poor thing!
a week later he just has little scabs on his arms and hands and one blister and his little finger His mouth is better and his feet and legs look good!
I honestly don't want to go through that one again, I am praying my other kids don't catch it! It was a very long week!
